Wehr also conducted a research project for IdeaBase through the Organizational Communication Training and Developement course

Seth Wehr, Senior, IdeaBase Account Manager and Copy Writer

After graduation, Seth Wehr plans on pursuing a career in a large organization and eventually obtaining his master’s degree. Wehr first heard about IdeaBase during one of his summer classes, where he was part of a focus group for the new Communication Studies website. During the focus group, Business Development Manager Kristin Dowling described to the class what IdeaBase was about. After Wehr heard Dowling describe everything IdeaBase offered, he wanted that real-world experience, and a chance to apply what he had learned in the School of Communication Studies.

Wehr explained that his transition from the Army back to college was nerve-wracking. However, once he started college, the discipline he learned while serving in the military helped him excel in all of his courses. Wehr explained, “I’m glad I made the decision to go back to school. It’s the second-best decision of my life, right next to serving my country.”

WHAT MADE YOU CHOOSE KENT STATE UNIVERSITY

“I chose Kent State University because I wanted a large university atmosphere, while being somewhat close to home. Kent State University has an outstanding reputation, and I knew that holding a degree from Kent State would take me further and provide me with more opportunities after graduation.”

WHAT OTHER ACTIVITIES DO YOU DO OUTSIDE O SCHOOL AND IDEABASE?

“When I’m not in class or working, I try to spend as much time outdoors as I can. I enjoy running, bicycling and traveling. I traveled while I was in the military and I miss that, but it will be there when I graduate. And in the near future, I would like to add skydiving to my list of hobbies.”
